World Subaru was a proud sponsor of the Hannah Duffy Foundation 4th Annual Casino Night Gala on February 3rd, 2017. The Casino Night Gala and all other foundation events help make Hannah's dream come true of finding a cure for brain cancer. The Hannah Duffy Foundation was established in memory of Hannah Duffy, who lost her valiant battle against brain cancer on September 26, 2013, at the age of 14.The foundation also offers academic scholarships and World Subaru is proud to partner with the foundation to offer an additional scholarship in the amount of $1,500.
World Subaru donated perishable food items to the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties this past holiday season. The Food Bank’s mission is to alleviate hunger and build food security in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. The Food Bank and World Subaru want to make the community "food secure" where anyone at all time has access to enough nutritious food to maintain an active and healthy life.
World Subaru in Tinton Falls, NJ supported and participated in this year's charity event with the Holiday Express. The Holiday Express mission is to deliver music, food, gifts, financial support and friendship to those with the greatest need for the gift of human kindness during the holiday season and throughout the year.
From now until January 3rd, World Subaru is participating in the Share the Love Event. If you purchase or lease a new Subaru, they will donate $250 to your selected charity. Their hometown charity this year is Arms Wide Open Child Cancer Foundation. Their mission is to fund less toxic therapies for children with cancer. Or you can select one of the national charities such as ASPCA, Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels America, or the National Park Foundation. In the past 9 years, Subaru and all its participating retailers will have given nearly $90 million
World Subaru sponsored a Pet Adoption this past Saturday, October 15th in honor of Subaru Loves Pets Month. World Subaru teamed up with the Associated Humane Society of Tinton Falls and hosted a Pet Adoption at the dealership. The Humane Society brought over 4 dogs and 2 cats. The event was a success. The Associated Humane Society features cats, dogs, kittens and puppies. They take in approximately 15,000 animals annually between their 3 shelters. The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization. The Society prides itself on their devotion to the thousands of animals they care for annually and the chance for a better life they offer them. World Subaru’s sponsorship commitment aids with student-athlete recruitment, facilities and locker room enhancements, scholarships, foreign trips, and video equipment. Monmouth University is committed to Athletics as an integral part of higher education. Athletics' mission is to provide student-athletes with the opportunity to develop their highest level of athletics ability, while safeguarding their welfare, on and off the field of competition, in a diverse environment that promotes high academic standards and personal development.
On October 6, 2016 the Gorsegner family hosted their 3rd annual "Natalie Grace's Wish Event fundraiser at McLoone's Pier House (Long Branch, NJ) benefiting The Truth 365 (an initiative of the Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation out of Marlboro). World Subaru was a proud sponsor at this night out to support Childhood Cancer Research. This year’s event, the Gorsegners, with the help of the community, raised $71,772.73. 100% of the money raised will go directly to childhood cancer research. The Truth 365 was developed in 2012 as a ground-breaking, grass-roots documentary and social media campaign to raise awareness for and to shine a light on the state of childhood cancer.
World Subaru was the Tournament Sponsor at the 2016 Annual Golf Tournament John "Jay" Mahoney Fall Classic on September 26, 2016. All proceeds from the golf tournament will benefit the Eatontown PBA Local #305, and local charities.
World Subaru presented the 3rd Annual 5k Rook Run to benefit the Valerie Fund on September 25th, 2016. Over 3000 runners participated including many staff members from World Subaru. The Valerie Fund is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides care and support for children with cancer and blood disorders. This year, the Rook Run raised over $212,000.
World Subaru participated in the 2nd Annual Sandy Paws Dog Walk and Beach Clean-Up on Saturday, September 24th, 2016. This fun dog walk creates awareness for clean beaches for pets and people. This year's focus was "Clean Ocean Action". The goal is to improve the degraded water quality of the marine waters off the New Jersey/New York coast.
World Subaru was a proud sponsor of the 2016 Annual Charity Golf Outing that took place on Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Pebble Creek Golf Club. This fundraiser helps fund the general operation, which helps support the good and welfare of the PBA members as well as several other local programs that are important to the town. A portion of this year's proceeds went to Login Otis, a local resident who was diagnosed Double Outlet Right Ventricle and Heterotaxy Syndrome.The funds will assist the family with continuous medical bills.
On September 18th, 2016, World Subaru participated in the 4th Annual Hustle for Hannah 5k race at Monmouth Regional High School. The Hannah Duffy Foundation was created in memory of Tinton Falls teenage Hannah Duffy, who lost her battle with brain cancer in 2013 at the age of 14. Their goal is to provide a lasting legacy in the form of annual scholarships to outstanding youth in the community, those who have excelled in academics and are actively involved in community service, as well as provide funding for cutting edge pediatric brain cancer research.
On August 29, 2016, World Subaru was a Golf Cart Sponsor at the Annual Shore to Help Golf Outing honoring Kathleen M. Doehner. Shore to Help is a Monmouth County organization working to raise funds for local charities and families in need. They aim to ease the financial burden for those experiencing difficulties through fundraising.
On August 1st, 2016, World Subaru was the sponsor of The First Tee of Monmouth and Ocean Golf Outing. The First Tee is a nonprofit youth development organization introducing the game of golf and its inherent values to youth. Through after-school and in-school programs, they help shape the lives of young people from all walks of life by reinforcing values like integrity, respect and perseverance through the game of golf. And it’s making a difference. Their research-proven programs are having a positive impact on participants, their families and their communities.
On July 8th, World Subaru handed out blankets to cancer patients on behalf of LLS and Subaru at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, NJ. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world’s largest health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education, and patient services. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
On June 13, 2016, World Subaru participated in a golf outing supporting Jason's Dreams for Kids. The organization is devoted to granting wishes to children diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses.
On June 9th, 2016, World Subaru was a Hole-In-One sponsor at the 18th Annual Eatontown Lions Club Golf Outing. The golf outing benefits the Fisher House and The Captain James M. Gurbisz Foundation and local community projects.
On June 6th, 2016, World Subaru was a sponsor at the CPC Behavioral Spring Invitational Golf Outing. It was a day filled with golf and entertainment in support of CPC's mission - to serve our communities by delivering evidence-based services in mental health, substance abuse, special education and physical health through an integrated system of care designed to promote wellness, recovery and productive lives.
On May 27th, 2016, World Subaru supported SYAA by attending the Golf Outing to raise funds. The Shrewsbury Youth Athletic Association (SYAA) is an all-volunteer, non-profit fundraising organization dedicated to improving the sports and athletic experience of the children of Shrewsbury. The SYAA does that by helping to pay for sports equipment and facilities that may be beyond municipal and school budget constraints. In a time of increasingly tighter school and town budgets and “pay-to-play” athletics, an organization like SYAA is critical to provide our children with opportunities to participate ina wide range of sports, and to ensure they have the quality equipment and facilities they deserve.
On May 23rd World Subaru sponsored the hole in one car giveaway at the Jersey Strong Foundation Golf Outing. The Jersey Strong Foundation provides funding and resources to people, families and communities in New Jersey who are healing from hardship, natural disaster and other tragedies. The Jersey Strong Foundation has raised over $358,546 for New Jersey based recovery efforts since its launch.
This year, World Subaru once again, chose "Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation" for their local charity option for their participation in the "Share The Love Event". Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation raises money for alternative therapies and actual treatments for children in desperate need. Over the past years, Subaru owners have helped to donate over sixty-five million dollars to various charities with their choice to purchase or lease a new Subaru during the "Share The Love Event". With every new Subaru that was purchased or leased, Subaru donated two hundred and fifty dollars to one of the five national charities or to the local charity option. This Year, World Subaru collected $63,650 for Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation.
RFH TOUCHDOWN CLUB GOLF OUTING: On August 20th World Subaru sponsored the hole in one car giveaway for RFH Touchdown Club Golf Outing at Rumson Country Club. This event was to kick off the Football season and bring the community together. The RFH Touchdown Club is a not for profit organization formed in 2005. All funds raised by the RFH Touchdown Club go towards the development and promotion of the High School, Pop Warner and flag football programs in Rumson-Fair Haven. Fund-raising by the Touchdown Club over the years has been used to purchase a number of items; some examples include weight room and training equipment, team jerseys and athletic wear.
EATONTOWN PBA GOLF OUTING: World Subaru was the Tournament Sponsor at the Eatontown PBA Golf Outing on September 28th at Pebble Creek Golf Course. This golf tournament was in memory of one of the Eatontown PBA founding members, John Jay Mahoney. All proceeds from the golf tournament will benefit the Eatontown PBA Local #305 and local charities.
World Subaru is proud to support Holiday Express and Lunch Break. They donated 2 HP Chromebooks for Lunch Break at their holiday party on December 19th! Lunch break was in need of 2 new Chromebooks to help them on a day-to-day basis. One of the Chromebooks was placed in the lunch room where it can be used by clients of Lunch Break looking to apply for jobs. Lunch Break freely provides life's basic necessities- food, clothing, and fellowship-for our community members in need.
World Subaru has been helping Monmouth County SPCA for many years. On June 26th it was "Take your dog to work day" so World Subaru decided to stop by and see the dogs and take pictures with them and spend a few hours playing with them! It was a wonderful experience to spend a few hours with these loving animals in need of a home!
During the month of December, World Subaru collected 777 pounds of food, which equals 648 meals. They made this donation to the Food Bank of Ocean and Monmouth Counties.
World Subaru participated in The Autism MVP Foundation's first annual Walk on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Thompson Park in Lincroft, New Jersey. It was an opportunity to help the foundation begin its amazing journey in making a significant impact in the community. The foundation is a new, non-profit organization dedicated to helping children on the autism spectrum reach their maximum potential. To accomplish this, they are partnering with universities to help advance their autism-focused programs and place more qualified professionals in the marketplace. They provide scholarships to students who want to pursue a career that will help individuals with autism, fund autism-focused, student research studies and support programs that allow students to gain practical experience while working with under-served autism populations.
On November 28th, World Subaru took part in the Turkey Bowl to benefit Jason's Dreams For Kids, a local charity devoted to granting wishes to children diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses. Bringing a little happiness and putting a few smiles on these childrens' faces -- and hopefully their parents' faces -- is their goal! Jason's Dreams for Kids was founded in 1992 in memory of Jason Douglas Creager, who passed away after losing his battle with cancer. Almost every penny of your donation goes directly to the children and is tax-deductible to the extent of the law. The Turkey Bowl football tournament is in its 16th season and has raised more than $150,000 reserved towards fulfilling the dreams of children diagnosed with life-threatening diseases.
On Saturday, October 24, 2015, PCA-NJ hosted its Great Childhoods Walk at Monmouth Mall. The Walk was indoors, on one level, and was accessible to all. There were activities for children, refreshments, fun and music provided by Fun 107.1! Prizes were awarded to the top fundraisers. World Subaru was a sponsor of this event. Prevent Child Abuse New Jersey works to ensure happy, healthy and safe childhoods, free from abuse and neglect, for all of New Jersey's children.
World Subaru was a proud sponsor of the Friends Helping Friends 7th Annual Gala which took place on October 23, 2015 at the Woodlake Country Club in Lakewood NJ. This Gala is to help this year's recipients who are in need of assistance with mounting medical bills. In the last 6 years, they have raised over $400,000 for local friends in need. This year the money raised was to benefit our friends: Ernie Anderson and the family of Alan David Weinstein.
The Borough of Tinton Falls held its Annual Community Day on October 11th from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Sycamore Recreation Complex. World Subaru was a sponsor at this event. Their goal was to bring the residents of our community together for a day of fun in conjunction with community awareness.
Clean Ocean Action (COA) had their first annual COA Sandy Paws fundraiser event on October 10th, 2015 at the Asbury Park Boardwalk. This was a statewide dog walk where dogs, owners and pet lovers joined in for a day of awareness. The mission behind Sandy Paws was to create awareness for cleaner, safer beaches for pets and people to enjoy. Whether it is picking up after your pooch and reducing pet waste pollution or reducing harmful debris, every small step and awareness makes a difference. World Subaru was proud to be a part of the wonderful community fundraiser this year!
On September 17, 2015 the Gorsegner family hosted their 2nd annual "Natalie Grace's Wish Event fundraiser at McLoone's Pier House (Long Branch, NJ) benefiting The Truth 365 (an initiative of the Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation out of Marlboro). World Subaru was a proud sponsor of this event. Since April of 2013, and with the help from the community, the Gorsegners have raised over $274,000 for The Truth 365 through their Will You Send Us A Dollar fundraising campaign where 100% of all money raised went directly to childhood cancer research. Their current goal is to raise an additional $200,000 by Natalie's 6th birthday (at the end of September), so everything raised at Natalie's birthday wish event will go towards this ultimate $200K goal! The event raised close to $40,000 this year.

World Subaru was a proud sponsor of the 2nd annual Buona Sera Ristorante Golf Outing. The event took place on August 17th, 2015 for the benefit of the Boomer Esiason Foundation and the CF community. The Boomer Esiason Foundation is a dynamic partnership of leaders in the medical and business communities joining with a committed core of volunteers to heighten awareness, education and quality of life for those affected by cystic fibrosis, while providing financial support to research aimed at finding a cure.

This premier event helps support the Monmouth University Hawks as they strive to compete for excellence on and off the field. The annual golf outing provides funds to enhance the experience for our student-athletes during their time here in West Long Branch.
On July 6, 2015, Jersey Shore Medical Center hosted their 32nd Annual Sports Classic. World Subaru was a proud sponsor of the golf outing, which was in support of JSUMC's cardiovascular programs. When it comes to heart care, Jersey Shore is the recognized leader in the region, presenting a full range of services and experience that is unique to the area.
On July 20th, World Subaru was a sponsor of the 13th Annual Holiday Express Golf Classic. The golf outing this year raised $77,000. The success of the Holiday Express Golf Outing will enable Holiday Express to hold 81 charitable programs and provide 20,000 individuals with holiday hope and joy during the 2015 holiday season. The mission of Holiday Express is to deliver music, food, gifts, financial support and friendship to those with the greatest need for the gift of human kindness during the holiday season and throughout the year.
We would like to thank our customers for participating in our E Waste Recycling event during the month of April. With your help, we were able to prevent 4,556 lbs of carbon emissions from polluting the atmosphere. This is equivalent to saving 175 trees, 775 gallons of gasoline, 6,605 plastic bottles, and 30,379 aluminum cans. Thank you for helping strengthen the Subaru Love Promise!
World Subaru sponsored the "Save the Seraphs Benefit Concert" featuring Brian Kirk & The Jirks at Count Basie Theatre on April 30th. The concert was a re-invention of the Brian Kirk "Santa for..." fund raisers all to benefit Mater Dei Prep and Save the Seraphs. The fight to "Save the Seraphs" began in early February when Fr. Jeff Kegley, pastor of Saint Mary's parish, announced Mater Dei Prep would close at the end of the school year due to a $1 million operating deficit. Fr. Kegley then gave the community a few months to raise the needed funds. Thanks to the concerted efforts of alumni, students, parents and the entire community, Mater Dei Prep received approval this week from Bishop David M. O'Connell, CM, Diocese of Trenton, to open in September as a private, Catholic school.
Throughout the month of April, we are hosting an E-Waste Recycling Event in our store to collect unwanted electronics. We've arranged to work with a company who will responsibly collect, re-purpose, and recycle your electronic waste. Help us protect our environment. Just show up with your E-Waste and we'll do the rest! The first 50 customers who contribute will receive a complimentary environmental badge of ownership. We will accept: LCD Monitors, Cell Phones, Laptops, Tablets, CRTs up to 40", Video Games/Consoles, Fax Machines, DVD/VCR Players, Printers, Computer Peripherals, Switches/Routers, Cords and Wires.

On November 15th, World Subaru employees helped Holiday Express put together gift bags for those in need. The gift bags were distributed during the Christmas holiday to those in hospitals, orphanages and other similar facilities. They put together approximately 200 gifts (items included: hats, winter gloves, soaps/lotions/combs/toothpaste/toothbrushes, coloring/crossword books, rain ponchos, teddy bear, candy, etc). Holiday Express is a non-profit organization that delivers music, food, gifts, financial support, and friendship to those with the greatest need for the gift of human kindness during the holiday season and throughout the year.

World Subaru was a proud sponsor at the Fifth Annual Community Day and 5K Race at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center on Sunday, September 14, 2014. Jersey Shore's 5K is the third of three races that comprise Meridian Health's Heart & Sole Cup- a race series dedicated to promoting heart healthy living. After the race, Jersey Shore hosted its annual Community Day and Children's Health Fair, a free day of family fun, with a healthy twist. Guests enjoyed the interactive children's health fair, kids' races (ages 3 to 12), complimentary lunch catered by Branches, an inflatable play area, face painting, trackless train rides, music and entertainment. Valuable health information and free screenings including blood pressure, BMI, cholesterol, stroke and bone density were also available. Jersey Shore University Medical Center, a member of the Meridian Health family, is a not-for-profit teaching hospital and home to K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital -the first children's hospital in Monmouth and Ocean counties.
On Saturday January 10th, 2015, World Subaru together with the Monmouth County SPCA hosted a pet adoption at the dealership. The event was a success with 3 puppies adopted. World Subaru also collected gently used linens, food and toys for the animals in the Monmouth County SPCA's care. The MCSPCA is a non-profit organization. Their mission is to protect and advocate for all animals. In addition to animal adoption and surrender services, the Monmouth County SPCA provides the following services to the community: Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic, Cruelty Investigations, Humane Education, Pet Assisted Therapy, Dog Training, Pet Bereavement Counseling & Lost and Found.
